Saturday night was filled with Murder (5 of them!), mayhem (what were the secret meetings in the laundry room all about?) and bribery (I was wondering how the inspector ended up with the most money).

Everyone came to the party looking fabulous! People really got into their characters, which made the event so much more fun. We made a huge batch of Mint Juleps and “Bathtub Gin” and laid out tons of food (which unfortunately was not really eaten- we will be eating ham and turkey for the next three weeks!) The drinks went fast, however, and by the end of the evening all of the alcohol in our house was gone! It made for a very fun party. The Best Actor award went to Craig (the Inspector) who never broke character. Best Dressed went to Mickey (the Murder victim) who even got fake blood to make it look more real.

On Friday night Eric and I went to see Ocean’s Thirteen. After the disaster that was Ocean’s Twelve, I didn’t really expect too much- but it was great! The crew went back to Vegas (and you know how we love Vegas!) so it was more like Ocean’s Eleven. Same kinds of twists and turns in the story line. After cleaning up the party on Sunday we had the Coleman’s over for dinner. Amelia and Sarah are going to St. Louis this week to visit with Sam, Allison and my folks (lucky girls!) so we wanted to snug on Amelia before they left. Let me just tell you- she is getting so big! She was crawling all around, standing up on things, taking little spills. It was a hoot. After S&J&A left we went to see the movie Knocked Up (we seem to go through phases of going to the movies a lot and then not really going at all). It was really cute.
