Springtime in Austin

March 29th, 2007 by Ellie

One of my favorite things about Austin is it’s natural beauty. Right now all of the trees and fields are lush and green, which makes driving around the city a delight. The blue bonnetts (Texas state flower) are in full bloom and just glorious. Highway medians and shoulders are filled with them. Last night, the Colemans, Eric and I did a little photo shoot in a field in our neighboorhood. I will get Eric to post the pictures because they turned out really great. Take a look- can you believe that is our neighborhood??!! So cool.

In addition- the weather is just perfect for sitting on the back porch after work with a glass of wine. That’s one thing that I didn’t realize was so crucial when buying a house- a porch. Unfortunately we don’t have a front porch, but I think our back patio more than makes up for it. We have created a little living room out there. It is really pleasant. I think I will get Eric to post pictures of that too- and the rest of the house while he’s at it!
