So we have had a lot of fun these past couple of weekends. Last weekend my parents were in town, and because it was raining most of the time, Eric and my dad spent most of the time doing odd projects around the house. Thanks to that weekend and my mom and dad, our garage door opener is installed and some of our blinds are up! My parents also bought us a really beautiful light fixture for the dining room, which the men also installed. Our chairs were delivered this week, so our dining room is starting to come together. Thanks mom and dad!

This weekend was equal amounts fun and house work. On Friday, we hung out in our living room for a while and then went to a late dinner. On Saturday, we went to Freebirds for lunch (a Chipotle competitor). It was good, but I still like Chipotle better :) We spent much of the afternoon cleaning out the garage because it was still really dirty from when the house was under construction. The crowning-glory moment of this weekend came when we parked both cars in the garage and watched our garage door opener do it’s job. It might not sound like a big deal, but being able to park your car in the garage is a big deal to Ropers :) That night we went over to Nick and Emily’s house. We went downtown and had a very delicious dinner at PF Changs. Afterward, we walked to 6th Street and played pool at one of the bars. It was really fun! Today, Eric and I have spent most of the day working around the house. It is so nice to be able to do that- it feels so different than when we were kids and we had to help clean! Right now Eric is making dinner and later we are probably going to watch a movie on our new TV (yes, after 2 years of contemplating getting a better TV, we finally broke down and got one. It is awesome and makes our family room even better!). I hope you all have a great week!
